Release Date 1 June 1998

This one has all the trademarks and is the most polished movie of Kusturica, from what I’ve seen. Now, many wouldn’t agree on “polished”, and it’s understandable. This is an oddball Balkan comedy, but if I was about to sum up his movies, that would be:

Black Cat, White Cat – while standing on its own, reminds of other action comedies

Promise Me This – most creative

Arizona Dream – best all-rounder
