I’ve seen people saying how The Matrix is better, but I have to say yes and no. It is better for action. I noticed this movie tried to be Matrix in some action scenes, and those were the weakest point. Cloud Atlas is accurately tagged as sci-fi drama, and for drama, I might say it tops the Matrix. There’s a solid character development, the directors chose to play more with an emotional side, and they succeeded.
