Contact is a science fiction film about an encounter with alien intelligence. Based on the novel by Carl Sagan the film starred Jodie Foster as the one chosen scientist who must make some difficult decisions between her beliefs, the truth, and reality.

A clever and well executed sci-fi story. There is a great balance between science and human angle, which reminds me of Arrival in a way.

Despite all the efforts from the actors, it’s not amongst the best of Scorsese, but it’s still worth the watch for its careful execution and wittiness.
