Release Date 26 May 2011

Started pretentiously, ended up as one of the best movies ever. It’s a second movie from von Trier’s depression trilogy and it’s certainly depressive. Or, better to say, beautifully melancholic. The shaky camera and intentionally amateurish filming style make it look like a wedding footage, but at the same time there’s a feeling that something mysterious is about to happen. Von Trier doesn’t rush to reveal his cards, he is a careful storyteller, but then the cards are revealed, this movie and some of its stunning scenes is going to stay with you for a long time.
