Remember the good old days when anyone with a camera and a few thousand bucks could schlep up to Bronson canyon and quickly make a cheap sci-fi/horror B-movie? Well, they’re back! The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra is an affectionate, meticulous re-creation of those notoriously cheesy clunkers, as a gaggle of beloved stereotypes pursue “that rarest of radioactive elements – atmospherium.”

Wanna see an original movie and relax? Then check this out. A group of cool people thought of idea to make a parody of an old movies, and they got…

The OSSA discovers a spacecraft thought to be at least 300 years old at the bottom of the ocean. Immediately following the discovery, they decide to send a team down to the depths of the ocean to study the space craft. They are the best of best, smart and logical, and the perfect choice to learn more about the spacecraft.

Very interesting movie. Not only in its idea, but how it goes from good to bad, and back to good. The beginning is a very entertaining sci-fi mystery thriller, the…

Contact is a science fiction film about an encounter with alien intelligence. Based on the novel by Carl Sagan the film starred Jodie Foster as the one chosen scientist who must make some difficult decisions between her beliefs, the truth, and reality.

A clever and well executed sci-fi story. There is a great balance between science and human angle, which reminds me of Arrival in a way.

Five friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier unwittingly become humankind’s only hope for survival.

Fun movie when you are out of comedies. Not the best of Edgar Wright, but still has this British style with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg duo.

In the not-too-distant future the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man who comes into a fortune of time, though too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as […]

A good movie from the writer of The Truman Show. Good, but not great. To begin with, the bad guy is very typical. A serious criminal with badass sidekicks in…

For the past 60 years, a space-traveling smart-ass named Paul has been locked up in a top-secret military base, advising world leaders about his kind. But when he worries he’s outlived his usefulness and the dissection table is drawing uncomfortably close, Paul escapes on the first RV that passes by his compound in Area 51. Fortunately, it contains the two earthlings who are most likely to rescue and harbor an alien on the run.

A fun British road movie with aliens, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

Ray Ferrier is a divorced dockworker and less-than-perfect father. Soon after his ex-wife and her new husband drop off his teenage son and young daughter for a rare weekend visit, a strange and powerful lightning storm touches down.

That’s how I want a good mainstream sci-fi to be. Luxurious looking, entertaining and not going into drama too much. Acting, story and effects are good too.

Kate and Matt discover that a part of their house can grant wishes. In the wake of several miscarriages, what they want most is a child.

A very good idea with a lacking execution. The movie is just a bit too dull. I think we would see a much better movie given a bigger budget, but…

When mankind beams a radio signal into space, a reply comes from ‘Planet G’, in the form of several alien crafts that splash down in the waters off Hawaii. Lieutenant Alex Hopper is a weapons officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones, part of an international naval coalition which becomes the world’s last hope for survival as they engage the hostile alien force of unimaginable strength. While taking on the invaders, Hopper must also […]

Average mainstream scenario with good effects. I was watching it to chill and it ended up better than some kind of "Jack Reacher", "Battle Los Angeles" or "Total Recall".

Cobb, a skilled thief who commits corporate espionage by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets is offered a chance to regain his old life as payment for a task considered to be impossible: “inception”, the implantation of another person’s idea into a target’s subconscious.

Not a fan of it. This movie tries to be so twisted with a dream in a dream thing that it fires back, becomes boring and ends up like a…
