After hearing stories of her, a passenger on a cruise ship develops an irresistible infatuation with an eccentric paraplegic’s wife.

A multi-layered complex psychological drama. It might be trying too hard at times, might have been shorter and easier to watch, but the ending… Not only it pays off, it’s…

Thriller, Crime

A burger-loving hit man, his philosophical partner, a drug-addled gangster’s moll and a washed-up boxer converge in this sprawling, comedic crime caper. Their adventures unfurl in three stories that ingeniously trip back and forth in time.

Not sure if it’s worth this amount of attention, but yah, it’s good and has one of the strongest scripts compared to his other movies.

Seth Gecko and his younger brother Richard are on the run after a bloody bank robbery in Texas. They escape across the border into Mexico and will be home-free the next morning, when they pay off the local kingpin. They just have to survive ‘from dusk till dawn’ at the rendezvous point, which turns out to be a Hell of a strip joint.

A classy old school movie from Tarantino. Goes a bit out of control but doesn’t stop the entertainment. You could as well watch it only for Hayek’s dance, heh.

Amazing debut for Ari Aster. With a help of great actors, creative cinematography and little details, there's something sinister about everything in this story. This is a painfully slow movie…

When the quiet life of a beach bum is upended by dreadful news, he sets off for his childhood home to carry out an act of vengeance. However, he proves an inept assassin and finds himself in a brutal fight to protect his estranged family.

Not too dramatic as opposed to many art-house movies of this kind, and realistic. Everything is in its place, there are some interesting shots, but the script is somewhat lacking.…

A woman turns to prescription medication as a way of handling her anxiety concerning her husband’s upcoming release from prison.

Stylish cinema that reminds of older times when action movies weren’t so boring. Like expected from Soderbergh, the actors are good, the tension is there, and the movie doesn’t reveal…

A writer stumbles upon a long-hidden secret when he agrees to help former British Prime Minister Adam Lang complete his memoirs on a remote island after the politician’s assistant drowns in a mysterious accident.

Polanski’s more concentrated than ever. Maybe too much. The movie has everything, but it’s cold, and that’s a bit of a problem to me. I just didn’t care about the…
