Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

A hipster superhero comedy that tries to be funny so hard. Is it worth this attention? Nah, watch Kick-Ass instead.

The Grand Budapest Hotel tells of a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars and his friendship with a young employee who becomes his trusted protégé. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century.

I see how Wes Anderson wanted to repeat the success of Moonrise Kingdom and how this movie had a lot of potential. But the main problem is that the story…

Drama

Commercial airline pilot Whip Whitaker has a problem with drugs and alcohol, though so far he’s managed to complete his flights safely. His luck runs out when a disastrous mechanical malfunction sends his plane hurtling toward the ground. Whip pulls off a miraculous crash-landing that results in only six lives lost. Shaken to the core, Whip vows to get sober — but when the crash investigation exposes his addiction, he finds himself in an even […]

A serious movie. And also boring. I get that alcoholism is bad, but repeating the same thing for the half of a movie isn’t going to make an impact. Other…

A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Despite all the budget, this is an average movie with a silly ending. Also, there are too many clichés to keep my interest until the end. That said, it has…

Nearly a year after a botched job, a hitman takes a new assignment with the promise of a big payoff for three killings. What starts off as an easy task soon unravels, sending the killer into the heart of darkness.

A weak movie from Ben Wheatley. It’s about style and effect, but fails in the later. And the story is unfinished.

In a near-future Britain, young Alexander DeLarge and his pals get their kicks beating and raping anyone they please. When not destroying the lives of others, Alex swoons to the music of Beethoven. The state, eager to crack down on juvenile crime, gives an incarcerated Alex the option to undergo an invasive procedure that’ll rob him of all personal agency. In a time when conscience is a commodity, can Alex change his tune?

I find this to be hyped way too much. OK, it’s stylish and original, but doesn’t tell anything new, is over-dragged and pretentious to a level of pseudo-art.

An FBI agent teams with the town’s veteran game tracker to investigate a murder that occurred on a Native American reservation.

I like slow movies if they have a reason to be so. Seems like this one is slow just to look serious, also having too much drama of same kind…

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past where a looper, a hired gun, like Joe is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good until the day the mob decides to close the loop, sending back […]

This movie is about nothing. The whole time I felt that they threw a supposed to be intelligent time travelling idea over the standard shoot-em-up. The scenario is twisted and…

Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid, even though he’s got a beautiful wife who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police […]

Shows the emptiness of modern action/sci-fi big budget movies. The guy is just immortal and gets through everything. I quickly understood this and immediately lost the interest. OK, it’s action…

Action, Crime, Thriller

After a former elite agent rescues a 12-year-old Chinese girl who’s been abducted, they find themselves in the middle of a standoff between Triads, the Russian Mafia and high-level corrupt New York City politicians and police.

A typical movie with Statham. Should be OK with crisps and beer, but nowhere as exciting as “Snatch”, “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” or even “The Transporter”. As time…
